Hamilton Sat May

What can I tell
you of Hamilton? A lot of buildings built of brick. Spent 45 minutes
searching for a postcard around the Corktown Tavern's surrounding
area. No such luck. The only postcards located were for Canada,
Ottawa and Ontario. Brings one to the conclusion that people in
Hamilton imagine themselves somewhere else? The Subway sandwich
place here is a brick house. In fact most of the retail outlets
looked like old houses. Let's get on with the evening. We played
4th out of 5 bands; Malice, Evil Engine, Fink(all girls 5 piece
awesome) and Snoozer. All the bands were young(19-22) but pretty
darn good. The bar was having an all age weekend. I suppose because
it was THE long weekend & most grownups were drinking elsewhere. The
Corktown Tavern is a sloppy bar. When we arrived its patrons consisted
of 70 year old men named Bob or Bill who coughed while smoking
and sucking back $1.60 shit draft. The place filled up modestly,
mostly young folks 16 + in age. We hit the stage around 11:30ish?
I can't remember. It was our best stage show yet. I'm not sure
how good we sounded but we put on a good show.Must have something
to do with us winging Sweet Child 'O Mine when Jai had problems
with an amp he had borrowed from "Malice". We all agreed
we had a great time & once again drank any alcohol we could
get our mits on til i dunno 7amish or so? We sold $150+ worth
of merchandise but the gig only paid $23. Shitty but hey we made
new friends & supporters! Since we couldn't find a postcard
we got a void bus ticket, that just goes with our theory mentioned
earlier "people in Hamilton imagine themselves somewhere
Thank you Hamilton we had a fucking great time and we shall return!!
