Golden Lodge

From Kamloops to Golden was our longest trip so far, about 4-5 hours. A big difference when compared to the average 10 hour drive on our first tour...thank God! We got about 10 minutes outside of Golden and had to wait about 45 min for an accident to get cleared from the road. Chated with a couple in front of us. They were pretty cool, so we gave them an album to take with them. We get to Golden. It turns out to be a ski town. Drink, toking youngfolk. Golden is a great place. This is our first gig so far that we didn't supply our own sound system. And they had a stage with a stripper pole! That's more like it! July 1st..Canada Day. Happy birthday, beautiful Canada! But Canada Day became competition for Jeffery Sez. There was a bash being held 20 min. out of town. Staff told is most of the regulars would be at this event as well as themselves as soon as the bar closed. Regardless, there was enough present to satisfy us. The people were dancing and showing enthusiastic "Golden" approval! After the show, we drank our free beer and followed the staff to the Canada Day bash. Early enough to help finish the last keg. We yacked with the partiers 'till the wee hours. A couple hours of sleep later and Calgary was waiting. Doreen. thank-you for the wake up. Oh yeah, Jai still has the hotel key. Sorry.
