Sept. 18th/19th

First off Joey is an idiot. One for running
us out of fuel 10 km outside of Lloydminster. And secondly for
doing so under the advice of the negative Bastard. It wasn't really
so bad. We got to be in Lloydminster after the bar closes on a
Friday night. I assure you it is a site to see. We all agreed
we had never seen so many drunk people (of all ages) collected
in one place. We witnessed three drunken disputes involving the
law in 5 minutes. Way better than tv!
Nobody in this place will pump propane after 10 pm. That's good
because we all want to spend another 4 extra hours in the van
before completing our trip to Saskatoon.
We were leaving Grand Prairie and making good time. We left town
after a late hung over lunch with the promoters at this shitty
Shark Club chain restaurant. I was still tight from the night
before and can't remember any of it.
Here I'll back stroke my way through my alcoholic gray matter
to the night now several sleepless nights ago. Back to the college
bar. We did a sound check for this show. First and only of the
tour, not that I care, just more fun than waiting. We were all
in good spirits and looking forward to playing. There was an excitement
in the air. Must be something left behind by Def Leppard who played
in town the night before. Apparently it sold out immediately.
Go figure. What has 9 arms and plays music?
Had a really great set. The kids didn't do a hell of a lot of
moving, but they did pay attention and make a great deal of noise.
Sold a bunch of merch and proceeded to drink the comp-beer. Hung
out with some of the locals at a bar next to our hotel and the
rest you already know. We had the next night off so things were
more out of hand then usual.
