Tuesday Sept. 16th

Day 3... Hanging out at Celyn's and Aarons.

It's tuesday morning and Mike walks into to the house from the van to take a long over due piss. I think he said it was around 6:00am, but don't hold it to me everything is so foggy on the road. I, the Bastard was up around 9:30 and thought it was in Mr. HI-FI's best intrest if I woke him up by making sweet sweet... Wait, that was somebody else. Anyway, I fired up Aaron's Playstation and put on American Beauty. Joey acctually awoke for the movie, but not before he let out the loudest ass belch I've heard on tour so far. Other than my own of course. Lets cut to the chase, the morning was slow and drawn out cause we drank lotz of boozes the night before. Many movies in the morning, like "Snatch" , that was entertaining. Goodfellas was also an excellent choice, then we needed to mix it up with a little, "not another teen movie", It was good too. Onto breakfast, I the Bastard made an awesome omelette with lots a goodies in it and don't forget bacon! So were all showered all fed, mind you we threw a beer each into us to ease the hangover that I'm sure we were all feeling. Well 4:00pm gotta go to the show, oh shit the fuckin tour van won't start. Thats when I was feelin some stress. We are supposed to be at the University pub at 4;00 so we can load in meet the band and line check and shit... Mike got the van running within 10 minutes and we took off, only to have the van die in the middle of the street and not a slow street but a main street. I said everybody out it's time to push this big van and they did. Mike ran into the van while it was gliding into this Co-oP kind a strip mall kinda thing, Joey and Joans walked in the snow... Oh yeah I forgot to mention that it snowed that morning and it continued to snow all night, but it didn't stick just really cold. Back to the van problem, it seems that when it's really cold the heat exchanger for the propane freezes up. So we of course poured hot water over it to unfreeze it but we failed to realize that the radiator needed some card board in front of it to induce the water to heat up faster. So we did and on our merry fuckin way we went.

Finally made it to the University of Calgary, it's a big stupid confusing campus. Roads that go in circles and ones that seemed to go no where. Jai and I went to find the Den Pub on our own in this crazy building that seemed to have everything in it from fast food to womens lingerie. Found the bar, loaded in, met the bands which were Souljacker and The Salads. Both great bands, if you ever have a chance to see either of them I recommend you do so. Went to the hotel and checked in, was a hotel like any other hotel, you beds a tv and a bath tub which we all enjoyed immensely. Well back to the bar for a drink and then to the stage to play and more drinks. The Jagermeister girls were there, although I didn't get to get to know them as well as I wanted too. Celyn, Aaron, Brett, Tia, Candace, Tom, John W, Heather, Misty, Mike, a big thank you to all these people for helping with the merch-booth, our egos and some for putting us up while on the road. After everybody was done playing we all retired to the green room with the salads I instantly saw this beautiful bottle of jack on the table, I said is anyone using this and Chuck said no man you take it get rid of it, just make it disappear. So it disappeared, save it for the cold night in the van. Back to the hotel, we just drank till we were drunk and couldn't drink anymore...Until day four of course...
