Calgary pt. 2 "Wired"
Things in Calgary have gone well.Spent the night before the T.V. taping out on the town with Tia and Tom. First we went to this huge country bar called "Ranchman's" for some Karioke. Not our idea. Tia is a Karioke host and loves this scene. the highlight: Bastard gets hammered and sings Bon Jovi "Dead or Alive. I'm both embarrased and proud. He did a good job of it. Later, after about 6 or 7 beers, he gets up again and does another Jovi song. "Blaze of Glory" He looks and sounds likea lounge singer at the end of his career.... Next bar please.

We end up at Morgan's Pub. There's a wicked 80's metal tribute band called Broken Toys playing. We caught the end of their set and after some Iron Maiden, Priest and Metallica, (and yes, some Bon Jovi), we wished we made it earlier.

The next morning comes quickly. This is going to be the most hectic part of the tour. We tape "Wired" for A-chanel tonight drive back to Edmonton, crash for two hours, then do the Big Breakfast live on A-chanel Edmonton @ 7am. To bed for the afternoon, then a 2 hour show at the Kingsknight Pub. Let's get back to Wired.

The Wired show was a blast. Two songs plus a short interview. I talked them into letting us use the security gal, Yardley, as an extra in our shoot. She's just keeping an eye on us and stuff. Glenn, the host, interviewed me the minute I finished singing "Plastic & Pills". I was so out of breath I could hardly speak. Next we play "East Coulee". and that's it. The crew say that they like our stuff and Glenn helps us load our van! He even lifts the heavy stuff. Very cool guy. We just bought this crazy Pee Wee Herman bicycle and he let us all take turns riding in the parking lot. Too fun.
