Spent this morning like most mornings on this tour so far. Since we are not in a hotel the 5 of us wait for each other to be done showering. It is a very long routine. Usually 1 of us uses up all the hot water and who ever is left over enjoys a refreshing cold shower. This hasn't happened yet! I haven't done a survey but I also have not heard anyone complaining either.
After we were all clean we spent a bunch of time in West Edmonton Mall. I hate malls, so a really really big mall does nothing for me. Plus we go into this stupid mass of crap every time were here. Hey look! A Starbucks! I can't believe it a really big food court & Eaton Centre food court! It's like Mayfair malls food court & Eaton Centre food court all in 1 spot! Then a 100 meters or so later, holy shit! Another food court, why am I even bothering blabbiung about this shit. I already told you that they bowled while I pouted elsewhere.
So we left the mall half drunk cause we don't have the imagination or the energy to do anything but to sit at a bar. A bar in a mall? You can keep an eye on your bowling brats and guzzle a dozen pints. It's true...
So we leave the mall and head for the Kings Knight Pub to have more beer and see our venue for Thursday. We have two hours to kill before our radio interview. Place is closed. What do we do? We hang out at a Smitty's Restaurant. It's the only thing to do near The Bear. We drive the staff nuts for an hour and a half. It was a complete gong show. Had a lot of laughs. They tell us that they're gonna come to our show on Thursday.
Brandon Manitoba is our radio host tonight. We met him the same night that we met Scott on our first tour. He's a cool guy. He let us answer the phones and fuck with the callers. I had two guys on the phone for 10 min. thinking I was George Strombolopolis. I told them that I was drunk and my clothes stunk because I'd been drinking in them for two days. I also told them about my troubles going #2. They bought it all and enjoyed talking to me. Big fans!
So we did a our interview. Brandon asks good questions and doesn't care if you swear so it was natural and way more fun. Look forward to seeing him again. He played 5 of our songs too, which was awesome. He did mention that we reeked of booze and was upset that we didn't bring any for him. Sorry man, if we knew that it would be cool, we woulda brought some. Last time we drank at a radio station (Extreme with Tiff) we were having a great time, but the dj was getting a bit nervous. We were using a blender to make vodka drinks at 9am.
