Backstage Lounge is home of one of the most interesting sound/stage engineers we have ever met. Doug has worked for, played with or at least seen damn near every cool band in the last 30 years. Meeting Doug for the second time made last night's show worth the boat ride. But there's more! Friends from abroad! Is that Judee? Holy shit! It is! Judee from the Wash N' Slosh in Saskatoon! The mother of all bands has dropped by to say hello. I can't speak for all of us, but this made any illness I felt fade into numbness. Oh, sweet numbness! Next up at the Sez reunion show was Heather from Fairmont. She's doing the acting thing in Van. and also came out to support the cause. (thanks for the directions, Heather) Also to arrive for set #2 It's Kelly, Sheri, and Melinda from Victoria. They were fresh from the Tragically Hip show and hustled over to catch the end of our gig. Add Lauren (photogirl)and her mom, and were talkin' fun! All the people mentioned here made our night beautiful. Thank you sooo much. Not sure of anything else I slept in the van last night and was awoken by the lady who owned the parking spot that we "borrowed". But that's another story...
