Sparwood
Mickey's Pub July 25th, 2000
Chris vs. The World's Biggest Truck.
We took our time leaving Waterton, The place was so
beautiful!1 If you get a chance to check it out... It's not often
tat you can see so much untouched land and still sleep in a hotel
at night. (or day if yer like us) I think it was 6pm when we left
for Sparwood. What's the rush? It's only like 2 hours away and
we don't play 'till like 10:30-11, right? WRONG!! Wayne, (our
agent) never mentioned that the pub is only open 'till 11 pm.
We roll in at 7:50. the poster on the door says that the show
starts at 8:30. Oops! It's okay, we are once again blessed with
friendly people. This is definitely the smallest place we've played
yet. . It looks more like a restaurant than a pub. We decided
to play acoustic to save the ears of the patrons and give us an
excuse to take it easy after a day of hiking in the sun in Waterton.
The show went well. Hung out with the owner Debbie and her son's
band telling road stories 'till late.
